MEGATOUCH 2010 SOFTWARE HITS THE STREETS
Coin-Op Vets Score With Jackpot Corner, 11 Other Ion Games
Bristol, PA October 16, 2009 – AMI Entertainment Network is proud to announce the release of its annual Fall Megatouch software for Ion and Force platforms. First premiered at AMOA, this update features Jackpot Corner, the must-have game of 2010, plus 11 other crowd-pleasing titles for Ion and 9 titles for Force. Also featured are fresh content updates for many Megatouch favorites such as Photo Hunt and Trivia Whiz 2, and several new system features and advancements designed to bring in more revenue and make life easier for operators. Coming soon, connected operators will be able to download the 2010 software.
This Megatouch software release boasts an impressive lineup of games, led by Jackpot Corner, a unique matchmaking game that is sure to draw players in droves. Players must make combos of fruit to clear the board, but the twist is that those combos can be any size - 2x2, 3x5, even the entire board. This game has proven to be a fan favorite in beta tests and is poised to become another Megatouch classic.
AMI Entertainment has partnered with RealGames to bring two hugely popular casual game titles to the 2010 Megatouch software. Little Shop of Treasures is a picture-based game that sends players hunting for more than 1,200 unique hidden objects across dozens of intricate scenes. The Little Shop series has generated more than 7 million downloads during its lifetime. Text Twist Lightning is a popular, fast-paced, word building challenge where players must unscramble letters to progress as quickly as they can through each level.
“The new Megatouch 2010 software is fantastic,” said Mike Maas, AMI’s President and CEO. “Jackpot Corner is a winner, Little Shop and Text Twist Lightning have enormous built-in audiences, and the new advertising and connection features make this one of our best releases ever.”
Along with the exciting new games are several advancements that operators can use to their advantage. Chief among them is the new credit card pricing feature in which operators can control the number of credits a player receives for $5, $10, and $15 credit card payments, giving them the flexibility to choose the pricing that works best for their route.
Megatouch takes advantage of improved video capabilities on this software release with new advertising features that allow better looking, higher definition commercials for advertisers. An enhanced advertising browser that supports Adobe Flash means more and better advertising opportunities for operators.
Megatouch simplified the connection process for wired broadband, dial-up, and wireless Ions with its step-by-step Connection Wizard and now adds 10,000 local telephone numbers to improve dial-up connections. Operators can sign up for free MegaNet Core and get access to exclusive Sneak Peek games, remote diagnostics, software downloads, and much more.
“Customers are increasingly connecting their Megatouch machines, and our new software makes it easy to do,” added Maas. “MegaNet Core makes it economical, the new remote diagnostic tools make it worthwhile, and the addition of a 3-year warranty for connected Megatouch Rx and Aurora Widescreens makes it a no-brainer.”

China’s most popular card game can now be played on Megatouch. Enter a bid to become the almighty landlord, or fight the powers that be by playing as a peasant. Once you’ve assessed the cards that you’ve been dealt, you’ll take turns strategically putting down singles, pairs, or trios of higher value. Blow away your competition with a Bomb or Nuke (4 cards of the same rank) and be the first player to discard everything in their hand. See for yourself why thousands of card players call this a game that’s “easy to learn, but hard to master”.
